This weekend I’m taking charge of my house and doing some much-needed “Fall Cleaning”. Until then I’m sticking with the story about how my life is so incredibly fascinating and busy I don’t have time for housework;)
I did get all my laundry done so that’s something(now I need to fold it). I think so many people feel like they have to keep their home “guest” ready all the time. I am not one of those people. My home is “guest” ready all the time, perfectly immaculate or not. I have a lived in home, which isn’t just a nice way of saying cluttered or messy. It’s I would just rather not spend my time after work doing chores. I have QT to spend with my husband, animals, DVR, etc.
If you walk into my house right now everything is in its place and tidy except for the
two loads of clean laundry that is piled high in the hamper ready to be folded, the stack of magazines that need to be sorted on the dining room table, and the paint supplies bin that is waiting to be put away after we paint the final coat on the ceiling in the bathroom. It will get done, but not when I’ve been out of town the past weekend for a while and I’ve had a long day and need to decompress.
Is anyone else as excited about Fall being here as I am?
I got really excited this morning when I realized I had pumpkin in the cabinet.
YAY for pumpkin!!
I had a tough workout and wasn’t feeling a smoothie and really didn’t want to go through the trouble of making eggs(the trouble is cleaning the pan) so when I remembered the pumpkin I immediately thought about oatmeal!
This bowl is a mix of quick oats, oat bran, almond milk, peanut butter, dried cranberries, and cinnamon. I haven’t had oats in so long and it literally warmed my heart.
I may be exaggerating, but it did turn my day around. I woke up in a really bad mood and my workout didn’t help so I was grateful for my bowl of oats. Sometimes it’s the little things that can make the difference and I’m so excited for more bowls of pumpkin oats for breakfast;)
The pumpkin didn’t stop at breakfast!
I remembered I still hadn’t redeemed my free Starbucks birthday drink and ordered a pumpkin spice latte(non fat). I almost got my usual venti drip coffee but thought that would have been such a waste of a free drink. Why would I get a $3 coffee when I can take full advantage and get a $5+ coffee? It was delicious!!
I can’t wait to have more pumpkin, figs, cranberries, apples, etc. Pretty much everything Fall I’m super stoked about.
What are you excited about this Fall?
