Hanging out on the couch with my girls last night was just what I needed after a jam-packed weekend.
My weekend started on Thursday so it was nice and long, but filled with a charity event, traveling to DC, Cirque Du Soleil, dinner dates, long runs, etc. so after work Monday I took Harper on a long walk and crashed for the rest of the night. It was so nice!
As packed as the weekend was I didn’t take many pictures, but I did get one of my brother and me while he was showing me DC.
I went to visit him Friday and was back Saturday because Travis and I had tickets to Cirque du Soleil and dinner plans.
Sunday was pretty chill, but we got in a long run, 8.4 miles to be exact, and got laundry, a little cleaning, and football watching done.
It was the perfect weekend and pretty much go, go, go, but I was glad to have snacks on hand to keep my jet lag away and energy up as I went from one thing to the next.
A few weeks ago Balance Bars sent me their new line “Bare Bars” to try and I LOVE them! Each bar is 160 calories and are non-GMO, gluten free, soy free, vegetarian and certified kosher dairy. The Mixed Berry Nut and Sweet & Spicy Nut bars are also dairy free and vegan friendly which is a plus for me since I try not to consume so much dairy.
The bars are made with whole nuts, fruits, seeds and other simple and nutritious ingredients. They’re the perfect snack you can take while you run errands, enjoy before or after a workout or when you need a quick grab and go snack. I always keep bars like this in my purse and car because they come in so handy when I’m famished and need something healthy.
My favorite flavor is the sea salt and caramel and it’s the perfect size snack for my commute from work to home before taking the dog on a run or before making dinner.
