Super Surprised

May 1, 2012

Last week I was so lazy. All by choice, but lazy. I didn’t workout, turn on my computer, cook, nothing. It felt great! I enjoyed my few days of nothing, but came back to reality when the fridge was bare and my energy levels were getting low from no exercise.

When I woke up Saturday morning I wasn’t feeling too hot and decided it was time to get my butt up and out the door to take Harper on a run. Travis was playing golf so I made the first half of the day a pampering day for myself. This of course started after the run, I don’t consider a long sweaty run pampering, but I did feel 100% better afterwards!

Instead of the normal DIY mani/pedi I opted on getting them done by a pro.

I got my nails cleaned up but no color, I’m a weirdo I know. I also had cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, etc, laundry, and more stuff that involve my hands on my list so I didn’t want to waste the polish. I’ll get a color next time, but for now I’m fine with bare nails.

When I got home from my pampering session Travis was still playing golf so I channel surfed and folded laundry while watching New Moon and Eclipse. Don’t judge. I read the books way back but refused to pay money to see it in the theatre. It was a perfect way to spend the rest of my afternoon before dinner with friends.

Sunday morning we went to our first hot yoga class in a VERY long time. It’s been forever since I’ve done yoga and even longer since I’ve taken a class with Travis. Before school hot yoga was an every Sunday event and I’m so glad we get to have it back now that I’m done. It wasn’t the typical Vinyasa style, but still great and we were both a little sore after.

I was just excited to have the chance to wear my new Lululemon gear my sister-in-law sent me a few days earlier. I LOVE it!

We were both starving after the class so I made a quick breakfast of black bean hummus I had made the day before and over easy egg on Ezekiel bread. So simple and so good.

I followed it up with something sweet too;)

The remainder of our Sunday was spent cleaning, laundry, and a DIY project that I’ve been working on forever. (yes, we used the back of Travis’ truck to paint)

We’re still not finished, but once it’s done I’ll share!

By this time we were starving and went with our old favorite for dinner. The Farmer’s Market.

And we may or may not have stopped to get yogurt on our way home.

Dinner out the past two nights was great(because I didn’t have to clean after), and we still had plans for dinner out last night too. Travis wanted to take me on a celebration dinner and last night we had plans to go to The Iberian Pig. I had never been and was really excited to try it out.

We got there around 7:30 and I was SUPER shocked to see some favorite smiling faces waiting for me!

Travis had planned this whole dinner for me and I had no idea. I’m usually really hard to surprise, but he pulled it off with me never knowing. I was super surprised, and grateful to spend the dinner with them. I am so blessed to have great friends and family that have been there for me the past year. Especially this guy!
