This weekend I workout for approximately ZERO minutes and ate ice cream instead! It was absolutely delightful, but today is a new day and when the alarm went off I knew I needed to get back to my workout routine. Of course I tried to convince myself that the yoga class I’m taking tonight would be enough, but that really won’t count since it’s more of a meditative class.
I took too long(on purpose) my time getting ready for the gym so by the time I got there I only really had time for a quick cardio session and an ab workout. I wasn’t in the mood to hop on a machine so I grabbed a jump rope instead.
I haven’t jumped rope in so long and I forgot how it can really wear you out fast. I did 20 minutes and I felt like I had sprinted for a few miles. My heart rate was definitely up and my thighs and hips were(and still are) burning, in a good way. I almost didn’t do abs but then remembered all that ice cream:)
Not just any ice cream, my new favorite ice cream!(forget that I’m slightly lactose intolerant, I took some probiotics before;)
Travis has been traveling to Cincinnati over the past few weeks and introduced me to Graeter’s. Lucky for me they sell pints at Kroger so this weekend I tried cookie dough and chocolate peanut butter(above). I may or may not have added a Reece’s to the chocolate peanut butter for extra flavor;) If you have a store that carries it near you don’t walk, but RUN and get some. It’s great!
In other exciting news(because ice cream wasn’t enough) I’m going to BLEND!!!

Have a great day!!
Do you jump rope in your workout?

I want some of that ice cream, now! That event sounds awesome too
And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking a weekend off exercise..your body needs that every once in a while!
I agree, my body really needed a break…and ice cream;)
That is so great that you are going to BLEND! I signed up last night and am so excited!
YAY! Excited to meet you!
(Sigh) The things we suffer through as lactose intolerants.
[Do the probiotics really work?]
I’m so excited you are coming to Blend, and I can’t wait to meet you!
I’m excited too! It’s going to be great and we’re going to have the BEST time;) I’ve only found the PB8 brand to work for me, but it really works.
I’m super excited you’re coming to Blend too – although there are altogether too many Heathers in our room.
Haha Heather’s are taking over for sure!
