This morning the alarm went off way too early. I had some bed buddies that hogged the whole bed causing my sleep to be a little less than sound last night.
More often than not, when Travis is out-of-town for work I skip morning workouts and just go to the evening classes so I can take Harper on a good walk in the mornings. This morning, however, I set the alarm for 5:45a, hit snooze a couple of times, and headed out the door for the 6:30a BodyPump class.
Getting my workout done first thing was nice and I followed it up with a bowl of blueberries, bananas, and some cereal hidden underneath.
I wasn’t really feeling a protein shake but I did boil an egg that I ate on the way to work so I didn’t totally neglect my protein.
When I got home from work I planned on taking Harper for a walk, but wasn’t quite sure if the sky would open up on us or not and stayed close to the house. I didn’t want to get caught in a torrential downpour, those aren’t my favorite, so a nice stroll close to home was fine.
Dinner was a tuna salad that consisted of some corn, broccoli, and sunflowers seed for crunch. Not sure I’m going to try the corn again it was a salad experiment gone not so well. The other veggies I had in the fridge were snap peas and asparagus and I was way too hungry to steam them so this worked fine.
With a full belly the rest of my night will be spent reading my new book I got from my mom.
I’m sending her Wild and she gave me this to read. I had another book in line, but once I saw she had Cleopatra I bumped it up in the que and am starting it tonight! I haven’t read a book about a historical figure in I don’t know how long so I’m really excited about this one.
Are there any salad toppings that seemed better in your head than on the plate?
