Re-evaluating

I took a little break and now I’m back!!! It wasn’t a totally intentional break, but to be honest I’ve been in a rut for a couple of weeks. Maybe longer than that, but I really noticed a change in my mood and sleep and have really been trying to focus on the root of my funk.

I found this quote and have it written on the chalkboard in our kitchen. It’s such a great quote and I feel it’s so relevant to me at this time that I had to share.

I’ve been re-evaluating a lot of professional goals and I started feeling better about where I see myself in the next few years.  I’m starting a new chapter soon which I’m excited to share with you in the next coming weeks. The details aren’t ironed out so I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’m really excited!

Another evaluation was the direction I want to take this blog. I love the healthy living aspect of blogging and sharing my meals and workouts but the beauty and “girly” aspect has taken a back seat. I am a huge beauty junkie and I don’t portray that as much as I would like on the blog. Girly Things Thursday had been a trial period of sharing different “girly” topics but didn’t pan out how I had hoped so I’m going to try a new approach.

I plan on adding more beauty and makeup to the blog so I can share what I love  and give tips and tricks you may have never heard of. In addition I am also adding a tab at the top of the blog for makeup application for hire.

I have done a few weddings and events here and there and want to grow that business along with the blog. In the new Makeup page I plan on adding pictures of clients(as they give permission) as my experience grows and giving tutorials. If you have any ideas of makeup or beauty tips I’m all ears. I don’t do hair or nails that well, but I’m willing to try anything so ask away!
