No Time For Sickness

February 15, 2013

I’m pretty sure I sleep with my mouth open. I woke up this morning with such a sore throat and knew the culprit had to be my mouth being wide open. This occasionally happens but normally I just wake up drooling and no sore throat. It’s super gross I know, but it happens so whaddaya do? I’m sure I’m not the only one that drools in their sleep, but probably the only one crazy enough to blog about it;)

Throughout the day I made sure to keep on top of my “No Time for Sickness” stash of Emergen-c, Ricola drops, and homeopathic drops that you mix with water and tastes like really gross nastiness. I don’t know another way to describe it but regardless of the taste it’s helped ward off congestion.

So far my sore throat has been pretty mild but I still felt “blah” so for dinner I went the fish taco route instead of soup.

I think I could eat fish tacos every night if given the choice. These were salmon instead of the normal tilapia and I prefer these because they aren’t flash fried like the others. Black beans and rice came with it, but I maybe ate one bite they were too cold for my liking and I was too lazy to heat them up in the microwave.

The rest of the night I plan on watching plenty of random Friday shows, drinking hot tea, and maybe going to bed early. It’s been a long week and I have to work tomorrow so I’m ok with bumming it for the evening.

Have a great night!

Do you take anything before a cold strikes?

I hope you get to feeling better soon!! Tacos are one of my favorite foods too. Whenever I feel a cold coming on, I usually just try and drink a lot of water to help flush it out. No idea if it actually works haha!
