Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
Today was pretty eventful and I got a lot done for a weekday. I worked later in the day so I woke up a little later than normal and took Harper on a walk before dusting off an old DVD workout.
I wasn’t feeling the gym today but wanted a good workout and this was just enough to get me going. Sometimes all you need is a 30 minute fast paced workout and since it was so fast I had loads of time to kill before work so I relaxed and pampered myself a little. I made an attempt to do my own nails with a bright red to be festive and they turned out pretty good.
I’m always in aw of people who can make their nails look professionally done. I have so many nail polish colors that I only ever use on my toes, but I think I’m going to start working on my fingers to get more practice and save some $. It’s really not as hard as I made it out to be, but practice makes perfect. While my nails dried I caught up on some magazine reading over coffee,
made breakfast(Fage 0%, strawberry jam, and granola)
and prepped my afternoon snack of PB wrap and honey with a festive heart.
Hearts seemed to repeat themselves through the day again with earrings,
and a vegan cupcake I bought on my way to work. I normally buy two treats, but since my Valentine is out of town I stuck with one. If I bought two there was no way I was going to save it. These PB chocolate cupcakes were too good I would have eaten the other one no questions asked.
When I got to work I had flowers waiting on me, which was the best part of the day.
I love having fresh flowers in the house and this arrangement should last a while which makes me happy.
I never had a chance to eat dinner until really late which isn’t my favorite thing, but I was starving so I had Amy’s vegetable lentil soup and half a chicken sandwich.
I hate eating dinner past 8 o’clock on weeknights because I always get super weird dreams through the night or have a restless sleep. When it boils down to skipping dinner or eating late I always choose food because, well, I love to eat, but also because I wake up with a gnawing feeling that makes me feel bad the whole rest of the day when I skip eating. As long as my late meal is high in protein I can get a better night’s rest, but it’s still not my ideal situation.This filled my right up and fingers crossed I don’t have creepy dreams;)
