My M.I.A. Week in Review

July 30, 2012

HAPPY MONDAY!

I’ve been gone for almost a week, but it really hasn’t felt that long. Starting around Wednesday morning I was feeling a little “eh”. Nothing major just one of those days that remained for the rest of the week. I didn’t turn on my computer the entire time and never really gave it much thought. I planned on writing posts and even took pictures of a few meals in preparation, but would get distracted by something else and the posts never happened.

This is usually how my photo sessions take place. I’m always having to dodge an animal in order to share.

Since I was M.I.A. for the remainder of the week I thought I’d fill you in on what I did in case you were curious. If you weren’t well that’s fine too, but here it goes anyway.

After my doctor appointment on Wednesday I had a couple of hours to kill before work so instead of heading home I treated myself to an iced coffee with almond milk and an apple bear claw.

That evening I attempted to make artichoke pesto, but it still needs some work so I’ll let you know.

Again with the animal dodging.

I only made it to the gym once last week for BodyPump, but did take Harper on a run a couple of times.

I’ve eaten so many Trader Joes’s turkey meatballs that I about popped. They are so good and I could easily live off them. You should go get some if you live near a TJ’s.

Of course, I had some yogurt.

At work I had my first session of tattoo removal on a flower I got on my foot in college that faded instantly.

I’ve had this sorry excuse of a tattoo on my foot for six years and want it gone. I have a couple more sessions to go and let me tell you, this SHIT hurts! I have a high tolerance for pain, but this is no joke buddies. OUCH!

We hung out with friends all weekend so Sunday was a “take it easy” day. Breakfast was pretty basic with some mangoes  that were about on their last day.

I LOVE mangoes for breakfast. Pretty much any fruit is awesome, but I really love fresh mangoes.

After a morning of laundry and cleaning up it was lunchtime and Travis was craving a burger so we headed to Farm Burger for some grub.

The burger was really good, but the best part was having my little brother with us and getting to spend the day with him.

Will was driving back to Charlotte after visiting our parents in Alabama and stopped in Atlanta for the afternoon. It was such a great week and weekend and now it’s back to another new week!

What was the highlight of your week/weekend?

Wow that tattoo really is totally gone on the bottom! I have a small tattoo on the top of my foot (my only one) that I’ve thought about getting rid of but I don’t know if it would be worth the pain. I think you’ve officially reminded me to make peace with that thing being with me til death lol.

haha yes it’s painful, but I have another one I love. It’s a commitment, but very worth it if you find something you LOVE.

I’m loving that photo shoot. The more animals the better. They make the food look better, right? hehe

I can’t seem to get enough mango lately (champagne mangos are the best). Sometimes I eat two or three a day! No shame :)
