House Project Ending

September 14, 2012

This is how I’m feeling today. A take on yesterday’s post about letting myself not care about vanity and still feel good about myself. No makeup, hair washed and air-dried, glasses, done!

This isn’t an angry or upset face, just kinda, eh. This expression is mostly because our house is in the final stages of our project and it’s totally crazy. Not exactly Home Sweet Home, but more Home What the F___ Home, haha. Please excuse my mouth, but if you came home to this you’d say the same thing;)

We’re having a shelving unit installed today and once that’s done I can finish up putting everything in place and pretty it up like I’ve been wanting to do for SO LONG! I can’t tell you how excited we are to have our house be put together after almost four months. The animals aren’t too thrilled about the clutter either and have kept their distance anytime we shuffle things around.

The curtains are next and my amazing Mama is going to make them for us. I’ll help, of course, well as much as I can at least. I have the fabric picked out and it’s going to look so good against that huge window in our loft.

Through all the craziness and unorganized mess I’ve really enjoyed how we have collaborated on this project. Travis and I have two different style tastes and this project as helped us compromise and really come to a happy medium that we both agree on.

I can’t wait to show you the end product! Heck, I can’t wait to see the end product myself;)

Have you ever taken on a house project that lasted longer than expected?

LOVE that fabric you chose for your curtains!! I can’t wait to see the final product either. And yes- I never, EVER fully move into a place. I hate dealing with all the stuff knowing I’m just going to move again in a year or two. I’ve been in my apartment now for almost two years and still have a box of unpacked stuff, no curtains and limited furniture… That’s kinda sad isn’t it? Haha Oh well!
