This weekend was non stop busy for multiple reasons so I didn’t do a special anniversary post yesterday. So here’s a belated one.
The first one being that I had finals for the second part of school(2 down, 3 to go!). So I was occupied with studying for facial waxing, facial machine and makeup tests, a couple other tests and preparing for practicals where I have to show an instructor I know how to do all three.
No worries I aced every one, but I had another exciting day this weekend. Travis and I’s first wedding anniversary!
I plan on posting a bunch of pics of the wedding and ceremony for tomorrow’s post, but I thought I’d share some pics from yesterday.
Since I had finals all weekend we weren’t able to have a full day together so the whole weekend we just hung out when I would get home from school. We made dinner Saturday, went out for dinner last night, and just relaxed. It’s crazy to think that just one year before I was stressed and this year I was so calm and didn’t have anything to worry about. Well almost nothing, school was a tad tense.
We didn’t want to stay in for dinner but we also didn’t want to go anywhere fancy so we decided to try a new place within walking distance from our house. I’ve eaten a ton of meals that include a tortilla of some kind lately and since taco is in the name of where we went I was glad they had a non taco option.
This is a naked burrito and it was really good. Travis got tacos that I kinda wish I’d gotten, but this was good too. I love burrito bowls.
For dessert we had our top-tier of cake ready to be eaten. One year later.
Travis picked the cake up out of the container with his hands and messed up the frosting so I asked that my slice be cut from a pretty side.
We thought it would be a good idea to cut the berry topping off just to be safe. But once we tried a bite we decided this wedding tradition of eating old cake wasn’t for us.
I know of people who say their cake tasted the same because they took the time to wrap it a certain way, but we’re not those people. Our cake was beautiful the day of and was great then, but not so much a year later.
It was a perfect anniversary and I look forward to a lifetime more of them!

Can’t wait for more wedding recaps – I never get tired of them!
Happy Anniversary! You were such a pretty bride!
Best of luck on finals – I do NOT miss that part of being in school.
Haha boys don’t realize that it’s important to keep the frosting in tact
