Girly Things Thursday and Giveaway!

October 20, 2011

When I decided to do the Girly Things Thursday series on my blog I had intentions of giving tips and tricks on skin and beauty, but also as a way to showcase the betterment of females in general. Either by sharing articles, bios of great females, and anything else I can find to share girl power!

I’ve loved sharing DIY masks, when to throw away productsblemishes via body parts, and food for your skin and plan on sharing a lot more, but today I’m taking a different route.

Tonight is the premiere of Miss Representation on OWN. I know what you’re thinking, “This chick is really obsessed with Oprah!”. You are not 100% wrong, but I heard about this film when it played at Sundance and have wanted to see it ever since.

If you aren’t able to watch tonight at least DVR it and come back. I think it’s super important that women show that they have a voice and not only empower themselves, but empower each other. I will now step off my soap box.

In the spirit of empowering I am also hosting a giveaway of one of my favorite beauty products.

My "Must Have" product

I can’t get enough of this stuff. Night cream is part of my nightly routine and this one is great as an eye cream during the day too. It says it’s for “Dry/Sensitive Skin”, but with the changing season it’s very hydrating for all skin types.

I’ll be announcing a winner on Monday so if you’re interested just follow 2(or all if you’d like) of  the below instructions to qualify to win:

  • Post a comment on how you feel empowered
  • “Like” Girly Ever After on Facebook
  • “Follow” Girly Ever After on Twitter

Good Luck!

I feel empowered because I recently went back to work after staying home with my son for 14 months. Although it is hard to be away from him sometimes it feels so good to be working again and making a paycheck.
