Family Weekend

July 16, 2012

This weekend I went to Alabama to visit my parents and came home with a TON of peaches.

The town my parents live in is known for their peaches and even though I live in GA it’s still nice to come home with so much fresh fruit.

Another fun part of the trip was playing with my dad’s new DSLR.

I, of course, had to take pics of my muse. I want one so badly, but honestly I took the same peach pictures with my camera and couldn’t see a difference, but the Harper pics there was a definite difference.¬†Hopefully Santa will be nice this year;)

On top of all the different fresh fruit stands we stopped in there was a lot of relaxing and just spending quality time together. During our QT sessions Harper took the opportunity to roll in something really gross and ended up getting a bath.

She only rolls in gross things when Travis isn’t around. No lie, never fails. Just look at the guilt on that face.

Before I left on Sunday we took a nice hike along a pond that Harper swam in 90% of the time.

She also found some new friends that intrigued her.

Harper tried to keep up and find out what they were, but they were too fast and Harper gave up quick.

The trip was too short, but such a good visit. On the ride home I saw three rainbows and knew I had to take a picture regardless of how very dangerous it is. I won’t do it again, but couldn’t resist.

I do the same thing with rainbows! I think it’s excusable – especially if you saw THREE. :)
