Do you ever have one of those weeks where you feel like you have no time for anything and don’t feel like anything was really accomplished?
That was this week for me. I worked long hours all week, didn’t get any laundry done, and only worked out once. Luckily the house is clean for my BFF to come visit this weekend, but I still have to do some grocery shopping or we’ll be eating out every meal. That doesn’t sound all that bad, but I would rather spend QT hanging out rather than trying to figure out where to eat.
Besides feeling like my to do list won’t budge I’m so glad Fall has officially started and the days are starting to get cooler. I could do without the 100% gray skies we’ve been having, but at least it’s not raining so I’ll take it!
Other Fall things that are cheering me up are:
I love finding acorns intact on our walks. It’s like my own little scavenger hunt. I have a few in a little bowl on our bookshelf I’ve collected over the years. It’s corny, but at least I’m not buying them from Pottery Barn(I did buy all my pinecones though;).
Pumpkin bread mix
I go back and forth between buying a mix and making Pumpkin bread/muffins from scratch. It usually comes from convenience and this time I was given a box from a friend just in time for the season! I adding dried cranberries to some of the batter to make me feel like I put a little extra effort into it.
Caramel Apple Lollipops
I LOVE these!!!!! We don’t keep candy in the house because we have such a sweet tooth, but I couldn’t resist getting a bag of these. They remind my of being a kid and my mom getting them for us. So good!
I haven’t yet had a pumpkin drink, but this weekend I’ll make it happen to add to my cheer!!!
